Behold, the Dragonfly!
The dragonfly symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; it represents an act of going beyond what’s on the surface; and it accomplishes its objectives with the utmost simplicity and effectiveness.
Training for an endurance event is much like how the dragonfly is portrayed. The iridescence on the dragonfly’s wings and body shows itself in different colors, which also associates the discovery of one’s own abilities by unmasking the real self and removing the doubts one casts on his/her own sense of identity. This again indirectly means self discovery and removal of inhibitions.
The first step to training for an endurance event, is to have the courage to see beyond your own abilities and limitations and to believe that you will cross the finish line!!
