The 15th annual Mother’s Day weekend event will take place at Floyd Lamb Park. This event is not just for Moms!! Men, women, kids…the whole family is welcome to come out and participate in the event! A great way to kick off Mother’s Day weekend! 🙂
My mom was my rock, my mentor, my hero…and I lost her to Alzheimer’s in 2012, so the ‘Moms Rock! at the Diane Snyder Run to Remember’ is in memory of her, to all those we have lost to Alzheimer’s and to those who are now suffering with it.
Let’s run to remember those who are no longer with us, for those who no longer can remember and for ourselves, so we can continue to remember!
Every participant will receive a very cool tech shirt and an awesome finisher’s medal!
All Moms will receive a flower!
‘After Race Celebration’ at Rachel’s Kitchen…$3 smoothies and juices!
There will be overall awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female for the 5K and age division ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female for the 5K.

Course:
The course is a loop and starts on the path adjacent to Group Area 4. The course starts out on a flat tree-lined nature trail that varies between asphalt and dirt and runs along the lake where you will enjoy lush vegetation, ducks and peacocks! Then it takes you out onto the crushed limestone basin trail around the park surrounded by beautiful desert landscape, shaded picnic areas and views of the Sheep and Spring Mountains.
This course is different from your basic road or park trail 5K races. It’s fun, fast and provides a variety of terrain and scenery. There is nothing difficult and no trail shoes needed! The 1-mile fun walk participants will follow the same course. It is easy walking for the beginner as well as a fast course for the advanced runner that wants to PR!
The course starts at 2476 ft elevation with an overall 45′ gain.

Friends, family members or co-workers are able to pick up your packet for you if you are not able to attend packet pick up. You are also able to pick up the race packets for your friends, family and co-workers.
Although we would prefer you to pick up your packet at packet pick up, if you are unable to, you can pick it up race morning at the race venue after 8:00 am.

Parking: Parking is available in Parking Lots 4 and 5. Overflow parking is available in Parking Lots 3 and 2. After parking, walk to the race start area at Group Area 4.
